A flood about ten years ago revealed some galeries near Beyköy, 5 km east of Kepsut. These galleries and the old remainings were later interpreted as ancient galleries for gold mining. The galleries are in the Eti-Maden property and the area has been explored by MTA. The Oremine Kepsut properties are just next to the Eti-Maden property and exhibit similar geology including meta-basic rocks, schists and marble as blocks and/or interclations and alteration. The carbonates contain iron-oxide rich zones which are the favorable places for gold mineralisation.
