There are numerous gold-focused exploration companies in the Balikesir region, particularly at the east of Bigadic. Here, a widespread dacitic volcanism caused gold mineralisation with silisification, iron oxidation and kaolinisation along NW-SE structural zones. These structures crosscut the Oremine Bigadic properties and seem to cause such alteration and a highly prospective gold-silver mineralisation.
